Wilmslow Guild Players

On the eightieth anniversary of the outbreak of World War One...

Wilmslow Guild Players Present...

Oh What a Lovely War!

by the Theatre Workshop London

This classic play devised by Joan Littlewood and the Theatre Workshop takes a humourous and light-hearted walk through the history of World War One. The production brims with anecdotes, jokes, songs and dance, but we are never allowed to forget that the Great War was no joke, and are presented with a thought-provoking insight into the futility of war.

We are frequently asked if we have the musical score for this production. Unfortunately it was last performed by Wilmslow Guild Players in 1994 and the member who arranged and played the music is no longer with the society.
